DescriptionNetwork Engineer - Managed Service Provider Responsibilities Work within a small team of network engineers, working towards resolving significant incidents, and ongoing problems Manage & maintain Network service board, this includes responding to Network service tickets as per the agreed Service Level Agreement. Must be able to clearly communicate with clients, explain network incidents and manage ongoing issues. Effectively be able to troubleshoot and resolve networking faults. Being able to quickly diagnose issues from layers 1-7 effectively Work on customer LANs. Must have the ability to set up and troubleshoot any Layer 2 & 3 switching issues. Must have working knowledge on L2 and L3 protocols, routing, spanning tree, etc. Work on WAN side deployments, delivering resiliency and redundancy. This includes protocols such VRRP, HSRP, BGP. Working with third party providers such as ISPs, Vendor for support. Work on wLAN deployments and issues. Must have knowledge on Radius/EAP setup and be able to apply best practiceAssist network & projects and teams at a project/implementation level on all aspects, including in-flight projects. Take on Projects and small deployments, working closely with project managers and service delivery teams to ensure accurate and efficient delivery from start to finish. Contribute towards documentation, create, update maintain document standards ProfileNetwork Engineer - Managed Service Provider Personal Attributes Ability to work alone on tickets and projects. Ability to adapt quickly and to demonstrate a flexible approach Experience Strong with LAN, WAN and wLAN deployment skills. SonicWALL certifications SNSA or NSAA Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)Forcepoint - certified forcepoint NGFW administrator Experience with HP Aruba networking Application delivery controller (Citrix Netscaler preferred) CCA-N Good understanding of network Routers, Firewalls and Switches Comprehensive knowledge with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP, VPLS/MPLS, Knowledge and experience with layer 2 technologies and deployments, STP, LLDP, QOS, VTP & 802.1x(EAP) & VoIP deployments. Experience of working for an IT service provider or a professional services environment.
