Cloud Engineer / DevOps GCP London to £90k

Cloud Engineer / DevOps (Google Cloud Platform GCP) *Remote UK*. Are you a technologist seeking a role where you can progress your career and see the impact of your work?

You could be joining a fast growing site for UK holiday rentals that has seen unprecedented success.

As a Cloud Engineer you will work with the Head of Engineering to identify and implement improvements to the current infrastructure and practices to enable scalability and the migration of more key services to the Cloud (GCP). You'll focus on project based work including helping to containerise relevant parts of the environment and assisting with their deployment to Google Kubernetes Engine; partnering with software engineers to enhance CI/CD capabilities via Gitlab and introducing other infrastructure and process improvements to help manage the performance of the technology stack. You'll act as a Cloud / DevOps SME and help the business to become more DevOps aware, ensuring operational best practice for logging, security, backups and monitoring are implemented.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work fulltime, permanently from home, with the caveat that you'll meet up with the team in London around once a month, following social distancing measures.

Requirements:

You have strong commercial experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer

You have a strong knowledge of virtual and cloud infrastructures, including network, storage, operating system and virtualisation

You have experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)

You have a good understanding of IaC, configuration management and infrastructure automation (ideally using Terraform)

You have a strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, Bamboo or similar

You're collaborative and pragmatic, able to work with other areas of the business and stakeholders
