Full Stack Developer ****Outside IR35****

Work collaboratively to investigate and carry out technical spikes in relation to the re-use of Expert UI capabilities and the associated implications of Javascript technologies being used or constrained in public facing digital services.

In general, the Full Stack Developer will:

Have the required skills for both front end and back end development of microservices, making use where appropriate of Java 7, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Javascript, Angular 6 or 7 using NgRx, HTML 5, CSS 3, Node.js.

*Design, run and improve software that meets user needs

*Report directly to Technical designer

*Collaborate with others when necessary to review specifications and use these agreed specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium to high complexity, using the right standards and tools

*Help fix faults following agreed procedures and carry out agreed infrastructure maintenance tasks

*Build and test simple interfaces between systems, or can work on more complex integration as part of a wider team

*Collaborate with user researchers and can sell or represent users internally. Understand the difference between user needs and desires of the user

*Be involved in story shaping and kick off and supervise the translation of stories into pragmatic solutions

*Code development in each story

*Building up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a Continuous Deployment environment

*Implement front-end or back-end for internal and external use

*Collaborate to form firm view of quality metrics and expectations for the delivery, and work with these throughout the sprints

*Test against shared understanding of "done" with team and help understand what's important

Key technologies in use are:

*Frontend Angular components:

*HTML5, CSS 3, SASS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 6+

*Frontend test frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor)

*git or other modern distributed version control system, github

*creating and consuming RESTful endpoints

*Expert UI developers will also have experience of some of the following:

*Agile development using Scrum

*NgRx/flux

*Azure cloud development, or cloud development on another major public cloud provider

*DevOps for Azure cloud deployed applications

*backend development in node.js

*backend development using Java/Spring

*Jira and Confluence

*Contract testing with Pact

*Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.
