User Experience UX Researcher ****Outside IR35****

Work collaboratively with the product owner and other teams to clarify existing requirements and user experience mappings that exist within the service teams. Carry out discovery needed to determine UI requirements for customer facing services in accordance with Government Digital Services (GDS). Carry out Discovery in a manner that will lead into subsequent development of alpha and beta solutions in accordance with the GDS pattern.

Develop and oversee the effective creation and use of user research to inform delivery. Provide the materials necessary for the Design team to take over (UX, Content).

In general, the UX Researcher will:

*Plan out research activities including the schedule of activities, methods, and allocation of resources

*Source and procure participants to conduct user research activities

*Facilitate 1-1 sessions or focus groups, guide discussions and build rapport

*Create data-driven personas and use them as a tool to support user-centred design decision-making

*Conduct user journey mapping exercises and use them as a tool to support user-centred design decision-making

*Work closely with design teams to incorporate user research findings

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
