The Role:

As a Technical Project Manager your role will be pivotal in delivering consulting services for change management, specifically relating to critical IT infrastructures to our prestigious clients.

You will be responsible for delivering ad-hoc project and programme management engagements and you must possess a fundamental understanding and the ability to streamline and document existing migration and consultancy methodology.

To be successful in the role you must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships, as a key interface between the company and our clients. Encompassed in this role will be the responsibility to support the business at pre-sales, working closely with the pre-sales team, providing an in depth understanding on how the business resources projects, to ensure excellent service delivery and exceed our clients' expectations.

Provide Pre-Sales Support

There is an expectation for the Technical Project Manager to engage with the Pre-Sales & Sales teams in order to adequately scope and cost project solutions. The pre-sales scoping of the project would involve the completion of a proposal that includes the detailed task schedule, resource allocation and cost breakdown. They may be required to assist with the identification of opportunities through the business conversations that they have with clients, but their focus will remain on effective project delivery.

Manage Project Delivery

The Technical Project Manager ensures that the project delivers the as-sold solution, remains within baselined budget and is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client satisfaction. This includes rigorous project scope control and management of change variations. They also communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status of their projects. Project set-up, resources and operations are efficiently managed, possibly with the assistance of the Project Coordinator or Administrator.

Ensure Client Satisfaction

The Technical Project Manager manages client satisfaction, commitment and expectations to high service levels and manages escalations adequately. They act as the single point of contact between Technimove and the client whilst taking accountability for all escalations relating to the project.

Projects Team Management

The Technical Project Manager will need to be able to lead teams effectively within a matrixed environment, embracing people management and providing appropriate feedback to the relevant line managers. The Technical Project Manager ensures that the Projects Team has access to the relevant project management tools and have the general means to perform their role, assisting with the coaching and mentoring of team members and colleagues.

Skills and experience needed for the Technical Project Manager:

5+ Years' Technical Project Management experience.

An advanced level of technical experience, especially within the data centre space, surrounding Networking, Storage, Infrastructure and Architecture.

PRINCE2 qualified.

The ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.

The ability to co-ordinate resources across multiple projects within an IT function.

Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.

Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in the technology department.

Excellent time management, organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.

Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.

Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.

Salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 gross per annum, dependant on relevant experience.

Working Hours:

9:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
