QA Test Engineer London/ WfH to £70k
QA Test Engineer / Performance Tester (Non-functional Testing) *Remote Interview WFH*. Do you enjoy breaking things / taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together? You could be joining a fast growing Challenger Bank that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, Cloud based technology.
As a QA Test Engineer you will help ensure the quality of the core banking platform written in Java with a focus on non-functional testing of performance, resilience and security. You'll be responsible for creating Test Plans, Test Reports and Test Scripts and utilising tools to measure, detect, isolate and resolve performance issues from performance (testing peak traffic), availability and resilience (stability of system), operability (how ready the platform is) and latency to meet particular criteria and regulatory compliance.
You'll be working across the full test lifecycle, liaising directly with clients and providing tactical and strategic test approaches for service level and component level performance testing; performing diagnosis and identification of performance issues in test and production environments and working on re-creation and resolution of the issues.
Driven by technology the company can offer a remote interview / process and work from home during the current social distancing measures with 3-4 days a week WFH thereafter. Requirements:
Indepth experience with non-functional testing (performance, resilience and security) ideally within a finance / banking environment
Experience of working in a Java development environment
Ability to script / code using Java
Good knowledge of tools such as NeoLoad, JMeter / BlazeMeter, Load Runner / HP Performance Centre
Strong analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Collaborative with strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients
