Job Title: Electronic Design TechnicianLocation: LondonSalary: Up to £22,932 per annum + BenefitsJob Type: Permanent, Full TimeWe are a family business who specialize in the design, manufacturing and sale of low powered, low frequency piezoceramic sensors which are widely used in the care industry in the prevention of falls.The role:We are seeking an all-rounded candidate with a passion for practical electronics, specifically in the design, manufacture and assembly of low powered sensor devices. This is a unique role which will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work in all areas of the product design cycle.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Basic knowledge of PCB design including passive analogue components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors and timer chipsBasic knowledge in the use of the oscilloscope, multimeter and signal analyserAbility to troubleshoot PCBs using surface mount discrete componentsPractical experience in soldering, product assembly and testingAbility to troubleshoot and repair sensors which have been returned to usA willingness to use technical knowledge to troubleshoot problems with our sensors by speaking to customers on the telephoneExperience in the use of PCB design software such as EagleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience of liaising with suppliers and board houses to assist in the manufacturing process of our PCBs and/or complete sensors desirableThe Candidate: Basic knowledge of programming languages including C++ and PythonAn interest in IOT devices would be useful Hours of Work.Benefits: A holiday entitlement of 28 days per year inclusive of bank holidaysAutomatic enrolment into pension schemeFully equipped electronics workshop located in accessible, riverside location directly overlooking the ThamesFriendly, supportive work atmosphere with use of a small kitchenWe are an equal opportunities employer and all applicants will be considered.Please note: Please click the APPLY button and to submit your CV and Cover Letter.Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Electronic Design Technician, Electronic Technician, Electronic Design, Electronic Design Engineer, Electronic Engineer may also apply for this role.
