Specific Responsibilities:

Our client are looking for a Senior Project manager to work on a large engineering bid to develop a sensor for a UK government customer. You will be a key part of the team working to produce a complex engineering proposal worth £5 - 10 M. The role will involve working with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to cost the proposal, plan the delivery, identify risks and help pull together the proposal itself. It is anticipated that the bid will have to address a higher than usual number of engineering governance questions and provide a significant level of test and validation plans during the bid stage and therefore experience of MOD equipment testing would be of benefit. The bid phase also includes a demonstrations of confidence. It is expected that the project manager will play a key part in organising and planning these demonstrations.

This appointment is in the Security Technology Integrated Delivery Team (IDT), part of the Cyber Information and Training business. You will report directly to the Security Technology IDT Leader (IDTL). The bid team consists of a multi-disciplinary engineering team including systems, software, electronic and mechanical engineers and a number of applied scientists.

Experience and Qualifications:Demonstrable capability to International Project Management Association Level B.Engineering bid experiencde - preferably within military / defence settingExperience gained, typically rather than necessarily, between 3-5 years of leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function and successfully delivering complex projects.Experience delivering projects to 3 different customers.Experience with microsoft project.To apply please send your CV's in the first instance
