This company are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join the team. Your responsibilities will include gathering user requirements, building modular components utilising modern development tools. They provide a relaxed but professional working atmosphere where their staff feel at ease to express ideas and work together as a functioning team.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate experience in developing sites and producing components to meet customer requirements. If you also have a portfolio of your projects that includes work with web applications that demonstrate the use of technology you have skills in, they'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you'll create both functional and appealing features that address the clients' needs and help them to grow their customer base.
To be successful in this role, you should have
- Excellent fundamental Front End programming languages; HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SASS, JSON, React / Vue, NPM, Node, Gulp, GIT, UI Design - Figma/XD/Sketch/Photoshop
- Solid understanding of clean code principles
- Experience in UI/UX design
Other skills:
- ECMA standards (e.g. ES6+)
- Handlebars templating language
- Sitecore
- TypeScript
- Pattern Libraries (e.g. Fractal, Storybook)
- CSS Naming conventions (e.g. BEM)
- Azure DevOps
Main responsibilities:
- Build components and layouts utilising HTML, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON and Node.js
- Collaborate with developers to create and maintain a robust scalable front-end architecture using modern technology's
- Help with cross-platform/cross-browser testing and debugging
- Review pull requests to maintain best practices and provide constructive feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images (WCAG/W3C)
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and team members
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and other components
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot possible UX issues
Requirements:
- Web Design, Computer Science, relevant qualifications or 5 years experience
- Proven work experience in modern front end programming languages
- Portfolio of web projects
- Knowledge of wireframing tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
- Knowledge of popular CMS frameworks (Sitecore and Umbraco would be preferable however training will be provided)
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch

Information:
- Position: Fixed contract of 12 months
- Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday
- Remote Working: Full-time during the pandemic. Post pandemic candidates must be prepared to commute 2-3 days a week to their Weston Super Mare office.
