What you'll do:

Lead & deliver major refresh projects

Build and configure RedHat Virtual and physical operating systems

Actively contribute in all team and key ceremonies

Build, support, and administer Middleware (Weblogic and Tomcat) domains and environments

Configure Datapower connections to new internal/external systems

Patch and upgrade Middleware environments

Understand new systems and applications and upgrade / rebuild them where necessary

What we're looking for:

Extensive Linux Administration experience on Redhat

Strong Linux scripting skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Experience of installing and configuring applications

Excellent knowledge of supporting and administering Middleware domains / environments in both a production and development environment using Weblogic and Tomcat

High Standards for engineering quality, a tendency towards simplification and standardisation, an improvement/automation mindset, and an appreciation for the benefits of public cloud

Experience in developing, installing and configuring Datapower would be desirable

If you have experience in any of the following that would be advantageous;

Previous experience as a Linux or Windows system administrator; building and supporting enterprise computing platforms and systems

Solid understanding of Cloud / Virtual Compute platforms (ideally AWS) and their supporting infrastructure

A good understanding of High Availability strategies, preferably with Cloud in mind

Familiarity with the concepts of infrastructure as code, test driven development and automated deployment of infrastructure solutions

Strong scripting and automation skills in various languages (such as Python, Groovy, Ruby, BASH, Powershell, etc.)
