Because it's not just the spies who make a difference MI6 is the UK's foreign intelligence service. As threats evolve, so must we. The curiosity, insight and intuition of our people play a critical part in this, helping us to adapt. Together, our team create efficiencies, new approaches and technology, so we can stay ahead of our adversaries. Now, to help us grow further, we're looking for the country's best Change Managers. About the role Change has become the new normal, and that makes it an exciting time to join us. As a Change Manager you will either be assigned to a dedicated change programme, where it will be your job to ensure that the interests of our customers are met, or embedded into an area of MI6 experiencing complex and rapid change, where you'll work together with leaders to develop the change strategy. When working in a programme, you will define and shape an environment in which the quality of delivery is prioritised and measured, managing a blended delivery team. You'll articulate the change and business analysis approach and develop the benefits realisation strategy. Another key aspect of your role will be to deconflict change priorities, and to resolve risks and issues. Where requirements are particularly complex, we'll depend on you to lead change management and business analysis activities and interventions. When working with a business you will help our Change Business Partners to develop change capability in your area, while supporting leaders to plan and deliver change initiatives. By applying your professional knowledge and expertise, you'll ensure that changes meet the true business need. At the same time, you'll see that management of change is continuously improved. There'll also be the chance to collaborate with other business partners to make sure MI6's overarching change journey is efficient and successful. About you Qualified in Change Management or Business Analysis, you've worked in a variety of agile environments. You're familiar with a range of change and business analysis methodologies and frameworks, and you're 100% quality focussed. In short, you know what ‘great' looks like, as well as how to lead and inspire a blended team to deliver. And crucially, you're comfortable influencing senior customers and stakeholders to support your plans, using your strong communication skills. As well as persuading others of the value of robust change management, you'll be able to plan across both the short and medium-term. Highly organised, you enjoy problem-solving but know when to respond to an issue, and when to step back and trust others to decide the course of action. Finally, it's important that you can generate energy and innovation by harnessing people's different perspectives, backgrounds, experiences, skills and ways of working. Inclusivity is our watchword at MI6. What we'll offer you Working in MI6 will give you challenge, inspiration and a real sense of purpose to your work. You'll be enabled and supported to make a real difference in a truly unique environment. We take learning very seriously here, so you'll benefit from a broad range of development opportunities from innovation to language classes. From the moment you join, you'll be supported to understand what we do and how we do it, including how we operate overseas. We support flexible working and encourage a healthy work/life balance. We also value professional skills and offer an additional allowance that reflects the importance we place on change management skills and qualifications. Apply Our roles are as individual as you are. Find out more and apply via our website. At MI6 diversity and inclusion are critical to our mission. To protect the UK, we need a truly diverse workforce that reflects the society we serve. This includes diversity in every sense of the word: those with different backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, ways of thinking and those with disabilities or neurodiverse conditions. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including those from groups that are under-represented in our workforce. To be eligible to apply, you must be a British Citizen. If successful, you will not normally be required to give up your non-British citizenship but, as a condition of your employment or secondment, MI6 may impose restrictions on your postings, work travel and/or general use of that nationality. Candidates must normally have been resident in the UK for seven out of the last ten years. This is particularly important if you were born outside the UK. Each case will be carefully considered on its own facts. You can apply at the age of 17 years and 6 months, if successful you will not be offered a start date prior to your 18th birthday. Discretion is vital. You should not discuss your application, other than with your partner or a close family member. Please note, you should only launch your application from within the UK.
