Lloyds Banking Group is changing. We are the UK's leading bank and are now investing circa £3bn over the next 3 years to completely transform and optimise our application landscape. With architecture in the forefront of this transformation, we're looking for architecture leaders to provide thought leadership and help define and drive the new strategy for the bank. Technology is at the heart of our business and architecture is at the heart of technology leadership - it is an integral part of our corporate strategy. As we go through this business and IT transformation, we need to be innovative, creative, and forward thinking. Our goal is to ensure our services are based on modern, scalable, and resilient technologies that deliver value to both our customers and our business. Our culture brings together hardworking, driven people from a diverse set of backgrounds - people at the core of who we are.

This role is part of the Commercial Enterprise Architecture team facing off to the Markets business as well as to their delivery organisations. You'll be joining senior team of dynamic strategy-oriented enterprise architects, passionate about partnership and collaboration with stakeholders. The central team is small however this role will include the leadership of the federated solution architect community.

Aligning with the business and group technology strategy, you'll be accountable for defining the target architecture as well as the roadmaps to achieve it as well as ultimately accountable for all the architecture decisions for the area you support. There is an element of governance as part of this role, but this should be implemented through collaboration and partnership rather than policing.

In your role you'll have an opportunity to engage with senior leaders (including CxO) from both the business and IT advising them on technology strategy and partnering with them to define the right solutions to meet the needs of their rapidly changing business. This needs to balance the needs of the current with the needs of the transformed future trying to minimise technical debt whilst enabling the business outcomes.

Given the transformation journey we're about to embark on, there has never been a more exciting and impactful time to join the Enterprise Architecture team as we redefine the future of the bank.
