The teams here at the Digital Delivery Centre (DDC) are on a journey to transform the digital future of Jaguar Land Rover; designing and building innovative systems and products for one of the world's leading luxury automotive brands in new and exciting ways.

We're looking for a Principal Data Architect with a passion for innovative problem solving and continual improvement who wants to become a true technical leader. You'll be working closely with other multi-disciplined engineers and leaders with opportunities to learn and enhance your career, as well as inspiring and influencing the wider organisation as we transform how Jaguar Land Rover builds and operates digital vehicles.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

We're looking for a leader who's worked in a DevSecOps culture, either from a Security, Software Engineering or Ops background, so we're keen to talk to people with:

2-3 years experience of data architecture design and delivery

4-5 years experience in a hands-on data focussed engineering role within Development or Ops teams

Previous experience in a leadership role influencing change in a large organisation

Beyond that, the following would be great as well. We don't expect people to know everything, so even if you're only familiar with a couple of these then we'd love to hear from you:

Experience transalting business requirements into strategic modern technical data solutions including models, streams, integrations, transformations, databases and warehouses

Deep technical knowledge of enterprise-grade data solutions and technologies for cloud-native infrastructure and applications

Experience wrangling data from a variety of disparate sources across a large enterprise organisation

Experience defining data architecture frameworks, standards and principles

Worked with relational database technologies such as MySQL or similar

Worked with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB

Knowledge and experience of data within event-driven microservice architectures, APIs and message queues

Built and managed automated CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying data changes

Experience leading and managing teams of Engineers at varying levels

Background in data or systems engineering
