"We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our team of motivated and progressive Engineers. As an Associate Software Engineer in the BCAM team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of control, automation and monitoring solutions which provide a real-time view of the current status of the Broadcast and Streaming platforms"- BCAM Team Leader

BCAM is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of software solutions within the Broadcast eco-system. This incorporates real-time control & monitoring systems overseeing equipment across the entire Broadcast Platform throughout all Sky UK sites. A key aspect of this department is also to provide control solutions to Sky's Operational teams used both in the day to day function of routing video within the Broadcast infrastructure as well as in the protection of Sky Services and delivery of online streaming services.

What you'll do:

As a member of BCAM, you'll help drive improvements and create new functionality on our platforms to provide real-time data and insights to our operations teams.

- Work with a wide range of stakeholders to create solutions from concept stage to production. - Maintain and improve existing solutions. - Be keen to solve difficult technical challenges with creative solutions. - Happy to share your deployments with the team in our regular showcases. - Keep your progress and decision making visible by regularly updating task boards and contributing to stand-ups.

What you'll bring:

- An understanding of the principles and techniques employed to achieve effective software lifecycle development - An understanding of Agile principles. - A passion for technology with skills in the following areas: Control & Monitoring applications & User Interface Design. - Ideally, you'll be keen to learn about and use : C# /.net programming, Cloud computing, Network Management Systems such as DataMiner & Broadcast and Video Technologies. - Excellent communication skills.
