Laboratory / Production TechnicianStevenage 9-12 months contract£11-14 per hour - PAYE - (possibly perm for the right candidate) My client is looking for an experienced Production Technician to work and be part of the Fibro Chromatography team for a 9 - 12 months contract. Requirements of the role:Batch manufacture and QC analytics of chemically functionalised fibro material in accordance with established procedures.Material/Inventory planning and ordering using ERP software (Oracle)Accurately complete all batch records and related documentation in accordance with GDP.Perform housekeeping activities to ensure clean and safe working environmentsHandling and removal of waste streams, routine calibration of manufacturing and analytical equipmentContinue to support the growth of the manufacturing site by reviewing and contributing to the creation of procedures, methods and QMS standards. Candidate must:B.Sc in Biology/Chemistry related discipline - industrial experience may be considered in lieuMinimum 1 year working with chemicals in a laboratory or industrial settingExcellent computer/data entry, record keeping and organizational skillsPrevious experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment to ISO9001, ISO 13485, or GMP standardsAble to follow instructions conscientiously, but also capable of working autonomously under own initiative when required.A degree of manual handling is required for this role so the applicant should be physically fit and able to manipulate boxes, material packages and drums of at least 15kg.
