Who we're looking for
We are looking for a Validation Engineer to join our existing team of 5 validation engineers in our Technology department located in HQ, Amsterdam. You are always the first that is working hands-on with the latest product iteration, challenging its capability and resilience against your envisioned tests.
Role and responsibilities:
(Co)develop Design Validation plans for NPI (New Product Introduction) products
Design test equipment architecture to control and monitor the DUT (Device Under Test) during validation
Design software architecture to control and monitor the DUT during validation
Implement data analysis tools to analyze data retrieved during validation
Report findings based on data gathered and analyze during validation
Create, maintain, process validation data logs and attend meeting with external partners
Job requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field required
Minimum 2 years of experience in product validation, design validation in electronics products (preferably in automotive environment)
Thorough understanding of embedded system and the interaction between mechanical parts, electronics and software
Solid understanding of statistics and data analysis
Nice-to-haves
Ability to multitask and facilitate effective problem solving and resolution (root cause analysis such as 8D)
Knowledge of APQP and/or DFSS
Working knowledge of quality audit techniques based in IATF TS 16949
Experience with EVs (Electrical Vehicles) or EVSE (EV Supply Equipment)is a plus
Experience in a firmware development environment is a plus
