Who we are: We are a marketing leading provider or IT Support and Cloud solutions to a range of global clients in financial services, retail, energy, media and many other industry verticals using our own, hybrid and public cloud-based infrastructure. The Network Infrastructure Engineer Role: Working with clients in the design and implementation of network projects from inception to delivery as the lead engineer, to operational support and troubleshooting for existing client networks as part of a wider network and operations team. Working as a Network Infrastructure expert with our Technical Director, you'll be knowledgeable around diagnosing network issues in physical infrastructure and cloud services. You'll also collaborate with our energetic sales team who look to our engineering team for support in the development of proposals to prospects and existing clients. Your day to day Responsibilities include: + Client and internal Network Infrastructure maintenance.
+ Network architecture, design, and implementation.
+ Network security design and implementation including cloud connectivity and access.
+ Consulting with Clients and the team on Multi cloud Connectivity (utilising public cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS).
+ Problem determination and incident management of network and connectivity issues.
+ Operational performance monitoring and analysis of client and internal networks.
+ Strategic and operational analysis of future connected infrastructure and connectivity solutions We're looking for someone with expertise around: + Layer 2 and 3 switching, vlans, vlan trunking, firewalls, NVAs, secure application gateways / reverse proxies.
+ Key protocols such as BGP, VRRP, OSPF, Static Routes.
+ DHCP / MPLS/ VPLS, DNS (BIND & Microsoft DNS), voice/video integration - SIP, IP-PBX, SBC.
+ Cisco / HP Networking.
+ Virtualisation technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare.
+ Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud Networking Deployments such as AWS Direct Connect, Azure Express Route, Virtual Firewalls, VNETs. You'll be ideal for this role if you have: + 5 years network infrastructure experience and are confident at being hands-on in data centres.
+ Strong client facing skills, an ability to build strong and enduring relationships with SMEs in multiple sectors.
+ Exposure to corporate service environments with multi-location connectivity and satellite sites connected to Azure environments.
+ 5 years of hands-on physical estate infrastructure experience (50 - 200 seat scale).
+ A car and full driving licence to reach clients in the South plus our data centres in Fleet and Slough.
