Working alongside our front-end designers, you will be mentored by an experienced back-end developer for the first 12 months, creating software using mainly PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/JQuery and WordPress. As a recent graduate, we'll expect you to want to continuously develop your skills in these areas.Whilst working alongside more senior developers, you will gradually take on more responsibility yourself. You will gain invaluable experience of cutting edge technology and have an opportunity to increase your skill set and at the same time help us to provide an excellent service to our clients. We want you to be organised, be able to work to deadlines and respond to the needs of our clients.About you: A good degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related subjectSome experience of: PHP or C#Database design with MySQLJavaScript and jQuerySoftware designGood problem-solving skillsAbility to work well with others and communicate your ideas effectivelyEnthusiasm for web development and interest in new technologiesWhilst not essential, any experience of the following could also be helpful, so tell us when you apply: other programming languages, WordPress, Web services (REST or SOAP), Version control using Git, third party APIs (eg Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter).As a recent graduate, we don't expect you to have skills in all of the above, however, a willingness to learn and problem solve is of paramount importance and you should show this in your application.
