Following the UK's exit from the EU, the CMA has an exciting and challenging agenda. As a result, we are taking on new remits and growing significantly. With this comes an exciting portfolio of IT enabled change projects, spanning estates, infrastructure, end user computing (ECU) and applications-based projects. We are now seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the implementation and ensure our IT services and business systems are fit for purpose.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will capture and document functional and non-functional requirements for a broad range of IT Services to enable critical business change and progression. Working proactively with business owners, you will work to clearly define and catalogue requirements using a variety of traditional and agile methods dependent on the complexity of requirements.  You will actively seek out ways of improving CMA business processes and act as a catalyst for change within the organisation.

You will also work with internal and external stakeholders including third party suppliers and ICT colleagues to translate business requirements, developing solutions for these requirements ensuring they can be accepted smoothly into the business.  This will include managing user engagement and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), pre-production testing and defect management.

With a formal qualification in Business Analysis and Project Management such as: PRINCE2, APM, MSP or other recognised project management qualifications, you will have strong problem solving, interpersonal and communications skills, developed through successfully managing multiple IT projects and their project management standard documentation. Equally essential will be your substantial experience and understanding of requirements elicitation and prioritisation techniques such as MoSCoW, Stakeholder, Fit/Gap and impact analysis, along with your ability to document expected behaviours and outputs and manage the relationship between acceptance, defect/backlog management and test management.

The CMA is a hugely rewarding, diverse and stimulating place to work - an opportunity to work for the public good and to stretch and develop yourself in doing so. All CMA staff enjoy generous benefits, including an excellent pension scheme, at least 25 days leave (increasing to 30 over five years), and generous maternity/paternity leave provision. You can also take advantage of interest-free season ticket loans, a cycle to work scheme, and favourable consideration of flexible working.

The CMA are fully committed to being an inclusive employer and ensuring equal opportunities. It is a priority to make our workforce as diverse as possible, and we welcome applications from under-represented groups, including ethnically diverse people, people with a disability, and people with diverse gender identities.

The CMA may require you to work from home to continue delivering our objectives during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Any remote or home working arrangement is temporary only and does not constitute a permanent change to your designated place of work or working conditions.
