Description: LINUX DESIGN ENGINEER - Belgium

Responsibilities

Lifecycle management of the system software, firmware and hardware configurations. Responsible for the Red Hat Satellite for all RHEL servers and OpenStack/OpenShift.

Handover the Linux related project knowledge to the other team members as well to the Unix and Linux Operations teams during the project lifecycle

Assisting the Linux administrators in their operational role

Profile

Experience in an enterprise environment, more specific in high-end Linux production environments.

This includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7 and 8 managed by a Red Hat Satellite 6. Knowledge of Red Hat identity management and middleware (J2EE application servers, web technologies, message queuing and databases) is a plus.

Familiar with building a continuous delivery process: version management, automation, infrastructure as code with Ansible and Git

Operational experience with Linux in private or public cloud, virtualized or physical.

Experience with shell scripting and programming languages, including bash and Python

Fluent in English, French or Dutch is a plus
