Network Engineer / Technical Lead Bath to £75k

Network Engineer / Technical Lead (ISIS BGP Cisco Extreme Merchant). Are you a skilled Network Engineer? You could be taking ownership whilst progressing your career with leadership responsibilities at a technology driven ISP and working on complex and challenging systems as part of a truly collaborative Agile team, discussing ideas and solving real world problems that affect people's everyday lives.

As a Network Engineer / Technical Lead you'll focus on network related project based work to deliver 24/7 network monitoring and support, partnering with an outsourced NOC as well as contributing to BAU activities and 3^rd line escalations to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operation. You'll partner with senior stakeholders and provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to a small, collaborative team, helping to mentor and develop people within a supportive collegiate type environment.

You'll be based in modern offices in the beautiful City of Bristol with lots going on in the local area and excellent transport links. Driven by technology this company can offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures with flexibility going forward.

Requirements:

You have experience of designing and leading the implementation of large, successful network transitions

You have a strong technical knowledge in relation to optical Ethernet, IP transmission and routing (including ISIS and BGP)

You have infrastructure design skills with an indepth knowledge of routing, switching, security and Software Defined Networking

You have a good knowledge of major network vendors (e.g. Cisco, Extreme, Merchant Silicon) and are able to make recommendations

You‘re collaborative with excellent communication skills including stakeholder management and team motivation
