Senior Financial AccountantManchester
£53,000 per annum
Combining a well established brand with an innovative and forward thinking ethos, they have gone from strength to strength despite the pandemic, and are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team on a full time basis. This would be ideal for a Manager who is looking for their first industry move from a Top10 practice.
· To lead and coordinate the production of annual statutory financial statements, ensuring consistency, accuracy and completeness.
· Provide technical accounting and statutory financial support to business Controllers (IFRS and FRS 102).
· To coordinate with the Group Company Secretariat on all Co Sec related matters
· To lead and coordinate the annual audit of companies working with both statutory auditors and business Financial Controllers.
· To build and enhance the Finance governance framework across the group, working closely with business Financial Controllers, Group Functions, Risk and Compliance and other functions as necessary.
· Lead the integration of acquisitions from a Finance governance perspective.
· Build and enhance internal controls over financial reporting working with business Financial Controllers.
· Lead the integration of acquisitions into the statutory accounts framework.
To assist in the production of externally and internally reported information as necessary
Skills:
* Fully qualified accountant.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS.
* Extensive experience of auditing / working with FRS 102 and IFRS.
* Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively.
* Comfortable working in an environment of rapid change.
* Ability to take responsibility and use initiative.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage to tight deadlines.
* High degree of integrity and credibility with senior management.
* Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow up.
* Strong team working skills.
* Excellent Excel skills.
* Experienced user of financial software, such as SUN/Dynamics365.
