Group Protection Pricing Analyst - London/Initially Remote Working Group Protection Pricing Analyst - London/Initially Remote Working This role is London based/initially remote working The duration of the contract is 6 months The pay rate on offer is up to £430/d (via umbrella only) This role is working for a multinational insurance corporation with operations in more than 80 countries and jurisdictions About the role This role sits within the Pricing function which covers both Individual and Group protection and is structured into four areas; Intermediary, Partnerships, Group and Projects. The team is led by the Chief Pricing Actuary and this role will sit within the Group Pricing team. Key Responsibilities:Provide pricing proposals for large schemesAnswer pricing queries referred by scheme underwriters and client servicesAnalyse drivers of profitability and emerging experienceRun cashflow models, perform analysis of results and provide checkingProduce high quality MI and reportsAssist with reconciliation of results from cashflow modelsTesting and Implementation of price changesProcess improvements, ensuring processes are efficient, controlled, documented and fit for purpose What we're looking for:2+ years' experience working in an UK Life actuarial teamExperience and good working knowledge of the UK Group Protection market (products, competitors, distribution)Knowledge and understand of various profit measures used for pricing and reporting and the principle cashflows for Group Protection businessKnowledge of Protection new business processes, including underwriting, claims and reinsuranceAdvanced Excel user. Knowledge of R, SQL and VBA idealWorking knowledge of Monet or Prophet cash flow models idealAttention to detailExcellent numerical and analytical skillsAbility to summarise large sets of data, draw conclusions and spot trendsHighly organizedAbility to work well in a team, under pressure and to tight deadlines
