Our client is a regulated services $2.5 billion boutique business who are both highly successful and well respected in their field. With technology enabling many new market and operational opportunities within the client's business and sector, a new leadership role has been created. The CTO will be the most senior Technology leader in the business and will report to a member of the Executive Board. 

A key element of the brief is driving & delivering digital transformation, largely through using automation to innovate, deliver scalability and create market opportunities. A collaborative strategic role, the overarching theme is helping the business and leading the team on the journey.

Candidates will demonstrate a good appreciation and understanding of technology strategy, architecture and governance, coupled with a track record of executing on digital transformation. They will be able to deliver a technology roadmap encompassing both short term tactical and longer term strategic goals, while enabling scalability and flexibility to harness new business opportunities. The ability to communicate this strategic vision to the business will be key. As the senior leader of the engineering function, this individual must have knowledge of an agile operating model and delivery environment to be credible and inspire the team.

A good appreciation of data and IT ops will be needed but it is likely the direct reports will cover these areas in detail. This is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on something and really make an impact and to work with a leadership team who have a great story to tell!
