Infrastructure Engineer (GCP IaC Jenkins Terraform AWS) Exceptional opportunity has opened at one of the biggest digital property websites in the UK, for an operations expert to support the business-wide infrastructure operation.

With over 6.5 billion page views a month, this website houses a vast amount of invaluable data. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll collaborate with DBA, SRE and Infrastructure teams to maintain, enhance and optimise the technical infrastructure and systems across the company.

You'll work with diverse, modern tools and technologies including IaC automation, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker, and will be encouraged to explore new and emerging technologies to determine the best tool for the task at hand.

In this Infrastructure Engineer role you'll be responsible for building and operating cloud platforms/ services and infrastructure on GCP, although experience with AWS will also be considered, as would a hybrid platform of datacentre and GCP.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, keen to accelerate their career in a role that encompasses ownership, autonomy and clear paths to career progression.

Requirements:

You have strong Linux/ Unix skill

You can script in Bash and/ or Python

You have IaC experience for automation

You have experience with provisioning and configuration management tooling, e.g. Jenkins/ Terrafrom/ Ansible

You have experience building and operating cloud platforms/ services and infrastructure on GCP (AWS also valid)

You have a basic understanding of how websites work, e.g. HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
