JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:Unix/Linux AdminReporting to:Naval K. Sharma Location:Leamington Spa/Warwickshire/West Midlands Department/Practice:CBO Job Purpose and primary objectives:Unix/Linux Admin Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team): Responsibilities ? System Administration, and support of all Linux infrastructure in a mission critical and highly available environment including SAN Administration ? System technical documentation for existing and new builds ? Assist Programme/Project in migration of Linux Servers Key Skills/Knowledge: 1. Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
2. Creation and modification of scripts or applications to perform tasks.
3. Familiarization with automation strategies for build and deployment processes.
4. In depth knowledge of Linux: Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
5.Hands on experience with MySQL and/or Maria DB.
6. Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts.
7. Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting.
8. Good knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
9.Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage. Experience required: 7 years + Negotiable on number of years as long as candidate matches the skill set as defined. Duration of the Assignment: 6 Months
