Android Application Developer Location: Offices in Cambridge & Bristol (remote/office-based)

The Opportunity: We are looking for an Android Application developer who is passionate about technology and excited about the goals of our company.  You will join our software engineering team and work closely with our GNSS and navigation engineers to help bring our technologies to life via a range of projects, including proof of concept demonstrators, visualization tools, and customer products. Key Responsibilities Take a leading role in the development of our Android software products and tools Contribute to all aspects of the software development life cycle Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver solutions ranging from internal tools to customer-facing products and demonstrations When necessary, be reactive to internal and external customer requirements Contribute to the maintenance of our codebase Proactively generate relevant documentation Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes Your Experience Essential Experience working as a software engineer to design, build, test and deliver Android software applications Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin Working in a team environment Desirable Knowledge of Android testing frameworks and packages (robolectric, dagger, mockito) Experience with Flutter Experience with modern engineering tools and methods including version control systems (Git) and continuous integration systems. Experience using Firebase Knowledge of basic architectural principles e.g. MVVM, MVP UI/UX design experience Experience writing software in other languages including C++, Python and Matlab Experience working in an Agile software engineering team Knowledge of positioning and navigation algorithms, tools and technologies Your Development and Perks Your development is equally important as our business grows and we offer opportunities including appraisals, career development plans, training courses,  feedback sessions through 1-2-1 meetings, knowledge-sharing and cross-training.
