Based on the outskirts of Plymouth this company are one of the largest manufacturing companies in the area. They specialise in the design and manufacture of specialist equipment that are supplied into several industries across the world. This is an exciting time to join the company as they are looking to diversify their product offering, investing heavily in their research and development. In this role you will contribute to the development of software solutions. This is a Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm role and offers 28 days holiday + bank holidays, private healthcare and an excellent pension and benefits package. The ideal candidate with be a software developer or software engineer with C#, VB.NET, C/C++ and SQL skills. The role:*Development and maintenance of highly complex IT applications both bespoke and 'off the shelf'*Maintain a high knowledge level of each application so can provide consultancy to optimise the use of each system, and trouble shooting skills to assist all users*Maintain a high level of programming skills*Maintain an understanding of business, semiconductor, and manufacturing processes and methodologies*Help desk support. The person:*Software development experience*C# skills*C/C++, VB.NET, SQL Server beneficial*Degree qualified in Computer Science or similar*Any experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment beneficial*Live commutable to Plymouth
