Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer for CCTV, WIFI & NetworkLocation: NewburySalary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (+ car & phone allowance), dependant on skill set and certificationsJob Type: Full Time, PermanentAs an IT MSP providing service and solutions to SMB's & the Hospitality sector an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Engineering Team as an Infrastructure Engineer, supporting a range of high-end hospitality clients. We have offices in Newbury, Manchester and a team of field engineers working out of London and you could become part of this dynamic team, supporting a range of high-end Hotels and SMB clients.About the role:We are looking for a versatile engineer who has infrastructure expertise around installing and maintaining CCTV, Network, WIFI & Voice solutions including skills around all cabling activities. The ideal candidate will need to have a broad understanding of these solutions as well as network infrastructure and technology. They will need to have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and experience with leading on project implementations from a technical perspective, along with a positive helpful outlook when dealing with customers in and around the UK.This will be a field-based role. The majority of your time will either be spent working on client sites, performing site audits, implementing new solutions and maintaining existing infrastructure, alongside other solutions that our clients may have, or you will be planning and preparing for forthcoming installation or upgrade projects.Requirements:Experience designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining CCTV platforms, Door Entry Platforms and Wifi solutionsGood knowledge of IP, networking, and IT infrastructureAbility to run, patch and terminate cabling to support installation of new hardwareAbility to provide training to end users for CCTV, Wifi and Door Entry platformsA proven background through an apprenticeship or trade qualificationsExcellent communication skillsSupport systems covered by client contractsFull UK driving licence.About you:The ideal candidate will be someone who has previous experience with managing cabling, CCTV, Wifi and Door Entry solutions and is comfortable working within both technical support and project led environments.Essential KnowledgeA desire to learn and adapt to new skills and technologiesA great team player with the ability to inspire confidence in clients through helping non-technical people understand technical aspectsNetworking knowledge and skills with experience of maintaining converged network solutionsKnowledge of various CCTV, Door Entry and Wifi platformsExperience in remote diagnostics along with analysis and monitoring.Specific Technical Experience/knowledgeAbility to confidently design, install and maintain CCTV, Wifi and Door Entry platforms with little supportProven knowledge and ability to work on issues relating to Voice, Wifi, CCTV & Networking systems etc.Basic understanding of Windows Server infrastructureSystem hardware consisting of HP/Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki & WatchguardNetwork architecture and system management, including configuring devices consisting of routers, firewalls and switches (L1, L2 & L3)Security process & procedures, that promote best practice security while maintaining a functional user base.A collaborative approach is always encouraged - there is a focus on a professional TEAM focused culture where everyone focuses on working together as one, ensuring they maintain a fun and productive place to work, where everyone continues to learn and grow.
