Put robust evidence, analysis and insight at the heart of government decision-making The challenge The Home Office is here to make our country safe, fair and prosperous. Ensuring the decisions, we make are based on high quality evidence and analysis is not just good practice; it can be critical to public safety. HOAI is home to some 450 professional analysts who develop and manage the evidence base around policy, funding and activity within key services.  The role
A key senior member of HOAI, you will be responsible for setting and delivering an ambitious analytical programme to support and inform decisions on Policing and Fire policies. Our work often has a high public profile and includes analysis of police funding and the Police Uplift Programme; of police powers such as Stop & Search, fire and building safety, which has received increased attention following the Grenfell tragedy; and the work of fire and rescue services. As well as engaging with the police, fire and rescue services and leading academics, you will work closely with colleagues and ministers to ensure that robust evidence and analysis are key drivers for any planned reforms. Developing effective working relationships and building influential networks is therefore a key part of the role.

About you
