Description

The purpose of this role is to support the development of our world class cloud based environmental software which provides environmental submissions and solutions to our international customers. You will join our expanding development team and be involved in the QA and testing all aspects of a wide range of configuration and development projects from the start.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver the business goals set in sprint planning

Participate in all scrum activities including stakeholder meetings, retrospectives and daily scrums

Analyse documentation / requirements for validity and feasibility

Execute all levels of testing (system, integration, and regression)

Detect and report software defects

Analyse data for inconsistencies

Design and develop automation scripts, test cases, test data and documentation

Provide support and collaborate closely with other team members and departments

Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle

Required Attributes

Essential

More than 3 years' experience in software testing or a similar role

Industry curiosity and motivated to learn new skills and new technologies

Good eye for design and an attention to detail

Good understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies

Excellent communicator with an ability to inspire and collaborate with a range of stakeholders

Ability to problem-solve with a creative approach to using technical solutions

Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies (Amazon Web Services), Restful API's, JSON, http requests, response codes etc.

Experience of creating automated tests using C#, JavaScript, node.js, python

Experience of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL and its use for OLAP

Bachelor's degree, professional qualifications, or relevant experience

Permission to work in the UK, by the start of employment

Desirable

Strong mathematical background

ISTQB foundation level certification or higher

Knowledge of bug tracking software such as Azure DevOps, Jira or similar

In-depth knowledge of cloud based and serverless architectures

Familiarity with testing technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber

Interest in Front End technologies and frameworks such as React, Angular, Fluent

An interest in developing environmental regulations and technologies

Full UK driving licence

Selection Process

The selection stages will run from now with the role filled by July.

The stages of the process will be as follows:

CV and Cover letter submissions by 12th June

[DC/PP] Lorax review (throughout the application period)

[DC/PP] Preliminary telephone interview (throughout the application period)

[DC/PP] Test June

[DC/PP/DM] Final interviews late June

[DM] Job offers no later than July
