Backend Software Engineer London to £90k

Backend Software Engineer / Senior Java Developer (Spring CI/CD API) *Remote Interview WFH*. Are you a backend technologist with payments / transactional systems experience seeking role where you can take a lead but remain hands-on with the code? You could be joining fast growing FinTech that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, cloud based technology.

As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop core systems and enhancements with a focus on the payments platform that enables a full range of payments processing including card payments, BACs, Mobile, CHAPS and an expanding range of international payment standards.

You'll remain hands-on producing high quality, critical path code and make a significant contribution to the implementation of technical projects.

There's a fully remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home fulltime for the foreseeable; when possible you'll join colleagues in the London office for 1-2 days a week.

Requirements:

You have a strong knowledge of core Java (Java 8 / 11) and Spring frameworks (SpringBoot, Spring Security)

You have a good knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience of working with tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, CircleCI

You have a good understanding of algorithm design and data analysis with experience of working with data formats like JSON and Yaml

You have experience of working in a microservices environment and designing APIs based on REST or gRPC

Ideally you will have experience with bank transaction / payment processing systems

You're collaborative and personable with good communication skills
