Our Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) is looking for a Cloud Solution Architect who can combine technical thought and leadership skills to help drive strategy and adoption of a variety of cloud based solutions. Working as part of the Cloud CoE team, you'll have knowledge of both fields with a deep expertise in at least one of them. Experience of delivering scale solutions on private and public clouds is expected, together with the hunger and curiosity to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date as the industry continues to transform.

This is a hands-on role, designing the blueprints with the Engineering team and maintain the tagging standards for the Cloud Platform, you'll work closely alongside our engineering and operations teams to ensure the strategy and architecture delivers the outcomes we're seeking. You'll also provide an architecture steer to the Cloud Platform inside the Cloud CoE, supporting engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

This role is not just about technical skills, the ability to command the respect of and provide leadership to stakeholders from across the organisation. We expect you to be able to view problems from many different perspectives and build architectural strategies and solutions that are not only technically sound, but also include regulatory, commercial and organisational aspects when appropriate.

What you'd get involved with

Working hands on with the Engineers and Product owners including the direct relationship with Enterprise ArchitectureMeeting the needs of significant customers related to a range of products and services and/or manages a customer advisor team over a given area.Taking ownership of implementing a team's formal development framework with mentorship from senior colleagues, while informally mentoring others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.Designing reusable patterns and blueprints to enable Cloud Platform scaling policy, currency management, portability, data resilience strategiesDesigning and architect the Cloud products alongside the engineering teams to remain withing the governed architectureEngaging with senior business leaders to understand long-term strategic challenges.Advising and support the PO to build Cloud products and services that support the business need Providing integrated long-term solutions and strategies for a significant area of responsibility, e.g. a function to support the execution of business strategy.Developing and/or delivering a plan for significant aspects of a research programme with guidance from senior colleagues.Developing the strategy to achieve long-term business needs for an area of business and/or significant function by anticipating broad trends, complex challenges and opportunities and ensures implementation and execution of the strategy in order to enable the success of the enterprise.

***The base salary banding for this role is £81,000 - £110,000 in London and £70,000 - £100,000 outside of London, plus the above listed benefits.***
