"Do you want to be part of team building and maintaining innovative solutions used at the heart of the origination of Sky's TV channels? We are looking for a Developer skilled in C# and JavaScript to join a small team who provide solutions into Sky's Playout operations. - Team Leader"

As a Associate Developer for Sky your key responsibility will be to work within a team to deliver the design, programmatic development and implementation of Playout Apps solutions under the direction of the Playout Development Solutions Team Leader. This role will necessitate working closely with related departments across sky's Content Tech & Innovation department

What you'll do:

- Developing solutions, carrying out analysis and designing work processes to support the Playout Operations team in ensuring the security of Linear TV broadcasting at Sky - Advise Project, Support and Operational groups on matters relating to Playout Apps and DataMiner. - React quickly to failure and ensure that you have all the tools, access and knowledge you need to resolve the issues. - Scoping, development and implementation of solutions both internally and in liaison with other teams at and outside Sky - Supporting effective delivery of commissioned projects and changes into Playout Operations - Acting as SME in relation to working practices and technology underpinning Playout Operations - Assisting Support teams in triaging faults and closing off resolutions - Collaborating with Project teams in the delivery of commissioned changes affecting or related to Playout Operations - Provide 2nd line support to maintain Playout Apps platform availability and continuity

What you'll bring:

- Software and web development experience; desirable languages are C# .NET and Javascript. - SQL Server using Entity Framework. - Deployment to Kubernetes and Cloud Services - Excellent problem-solving abilities; able to learn and apply new technical knowledge quickly. - Superb communication skills, and able to relate to all levels of the company. - Comfortable presenting ideas and opinions to management. - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and progressive environment.
