Cloud Consultant - ArchitectOur client has recently approved a 'Cloud Only' strategy, which means that they must have their IT solutions moved out into the cloud and established a number of DevOps practices and methods that make them more effective in their workflows.

Our client currently uses an on-prem GitLab installation with several tools, including Artifactory, Docker, SonarQube and Terraform. This set-up is already used today by several of their development teams.

Our client's DevOps department is responsible for implementing and improving their DevOps practices and methods throughout the company.

The DevOps department is now facing the task of establishing a DevOps platform in GitLab Cloud, while continuing to operate the existing on-prem solution. At the same time, it has been decided that our client will use Microsoft Azure as their primary platform.

Task description

Our client needs consulting assistance regarding the establishment of the new GitLab Cloud Platform and operation of the existing one, including (but not exhaustively):

* Design of GitLab Cloud Platform, including participating in architectural discussions and executing in technical set-up

* Establishment of prerequisites for development teams to use the Cloud Platform

* Documentation of the solution in Confluence

* Implementation and on-boarding of development teams on the Cloud Platform, including possibly teaching of applied technologies

* Operation of existing on-prem platform and the tools used: GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Docker Swarm, Elastic, Prometheus and Terraform

* Migration of existing projects from on-prem solution to Cloud solution.

The working method is scrum and the consultant will be part of a team with internal DevOps Engineers.

The consultant will need to be on-site and fluent in Denmark and English
