A phenomenal opportunity has arisen as a Solution Architect for the Loans Lab. Working in a strong collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our end to end architecture across our channel development portfolio, also working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance will engineering transformation strategy and report to the Lab Engineering Lead.

As a Solutions Architect, you'll have significant experience working as an architect on large scale sophisticated organisational change. You'll be on point to provide architectural oversight into the data and system integration work across the various feature teams. The work involves integration of 3rd party services into the various channels that the bank uses to communicate and interact with its customers. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the next generation of the banks capabilities. You'll also be required to work with the development teams and help design and shape the capabilities by being involved in POC's and modelling future design. You'll be comfortable with back end development and data / system integrations.

Specific knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration, Enterprise Data Integration, Enterprise Integration Platforms and Business Process Modelling will be beneficial.

Skill wise, we're looking for you to have some of the below with Hadoop and Big Data being key skills if you've got them:

Proven Understanding of JavaScript

Java Spring Java Hibernate Big Data and Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HBase, Spark) Rest / SOAP Containers GIT, test automation and CI - Application servers - WAS & Liberty SQL/NoSQL database Banking & Finance experience, but don't worry if you haven't, we like different backgrounds, it helps build better teams. Key Accountabilities

Implementing the best engineering practices.

Collaboration with the product and design teams to iterate the design function and implement the products.

Work with Front End, Data and DevOps Engineers to build features and outstanding experiments!

Give your technical leadership within the lab.

Build efficient and reusable back-end systems and abstractions

Find and solve performance issues.

Be part of design and code reviews.
