This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a large-scale digital transformation of the newly combined Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service. This role will be leading a radical change to the way the Fire Service operates using the Microsoft Power Platform to make a real difference to colleagues and communities.

The Service has invested significantly to licence the low-no code development platform to all 1,800 members of staff and this role is key to maximising this investment. The position will be instrumental in managing a professional development team, as well as nurturing a strong and growing Citizen Developer community. As part of the Service's ICT Management Team, you'll be working closely with the Business Development Team to lead on large scale organisation-wide development projects.

Day-to-day you'll lead a small team of Power Apps developers using agile methodology and the Power Platform to create new applications and functionality that will digitise the working practices of front-line and support staff. This is a crucial role within the Service and ICT Department to deliver on both our Service and Safety Plan priorities. You'll have experience bringing to life business requirements into efficiency-saving digital applications, able to engage effectively with business users with a technical knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and proven management experience with commercial acumen.

If you are interested in applying for this role, please provide evidence against the key essential criteria on the Person Specification in the Job Description; this evidence will provide the basis for shortlisting applicants for interviews.
