QA Test Engineer London to £100k

QA Test Engineer / Tester *Remote Interview WfH*. Do you have a love of problem solving? Enjoy taking things apart and putting them together again to see how they work? You could be joining a tech company that design, build and operate FX Exchanges in London, New York and Tokyo.

As a QA Test Engineer / Tester you will be an integral part of an Agile development team; you'll help define the story and test requirements, pair with other testers and developers to produce Acceptance and Integration Tests using in-house tools and use your testing and domain knowledge to combine automated, exploratory and technical testing; enabling the team to deliver completed stories with minimal technical debt. Stories can cover anything from core exchange functionality, through big data issues and performance to new portals to manage business.

You'll be working with colleagues in different parts of the business to understand what they want and how they will use it, participating in whiteboard sessions, digging into code, databases and existing Acceptance Tests to understand behaviour and coming up with new and interesting ways to test and break the system.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the London office for two days a week with the other three at home (or in the office if preferred).

Requirements:

You have a genuine enthusiasm for testing and pro-actively improve testing processes

You have experience of testing web and backend platforms

You have strong analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

You're collaborative and have experience of working in Agile software development teams

You're pragmatic and able to push back when necessary

Experience of testing low latency trading systems; cryptocurrency integrations; security and resilience would all be of benefit but not necessary
