Backend Software Engineer Cambridge to £50k
Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C++ Linux Tech for Good) *Remote Interview WFH*. Would you like to progress our career at a well-funded technology start-up, continually learning and collaborating with a team of highly talented software engineers to bring a unique product to market?
As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop for the core product, a complex mathematically based C++ algorithmic software that can be used on a range of devices to process audio, primarily hearing aids and IoT home devices, the technology cuts down background noise and barriers for communication. You'll partner with clients with a focus on complex API development which will be embedded into customers' products.
The company has just received significant funding and has signed a deal with a major electronics manufacturer; this is an excellent opportunity to join as they scale. You'll be based in modern offices near Cambridge City centre with a quiet, relaxed and supportive working environment and core hours of 1000 to 1600; driven by technology the company can currently offer a remote interview and onboarding process and work from home with the expectation to do a mix of office based and WFH going forward.
Requirements:
You're degree educated, Computer Science or similar
You have commercial C++ development experience, ideally also some Python
You have a good working knowledge of Linux OS
You're familiar with Android apps
You have a genuine enthusiasm for technology, are keen to learn and develop your skills
You're collaborative, keen to join a supportive and inclusive Agile team within a start-up environment
As a Backend Software Engineer (C++ STL Multi-threading Linux) you will earn a competitive salary (to £50k) plus bonus and benefits including 25 days holiday.
