We have built a green field infrastructure environment for Schroders Personal Wealth through a number of strategic transformational initiatives including the provision of a new fully cloud based digital environment.The Infrastructure and Technical Operations function is responsible for the development and support of infrastructure, client environment, collaboration technologies and telephony for Schroders Personal Wealth. Key to our success is the new modern digital workplace proposition and we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience to assist with its development. Our engineers are hands on and working as part of a small engineering team developing and implementing the components that will make up the overall proposition.Responsibilities of the team include:Device, Application & Data ManagementCollaboration & Unified Comms (Voice, Video, SharePoint, Email)Office Engineering (Telemetry, Add On management & governance)Process AutomationAzure Active Directory/Identity & Access ManagementIntegration of Cloud based systems to the environment (SaaS, PaaS, IoT)Networks (WAN, LAN and WiFi) Could you help make it possible?As one of our Infrastructure Engineers you will interact with both business colleagues and external suppliers to develop and support infrastructure solutions across the organisation. You will be accountable for the development of solutions to time and quality standards against the requirements of the business. What would you be doing?You will undertake and in some cases lead activities to transform business requirements and specifications into capabilities and explore the infrastructure delivery options, developing design ideas as you go.You will participate in cross organisational squads to develop capabilities and gain advocacy for your solutions through building effective working relationships.It's a truly collaborative set up where you'll get to discuss solutions with business customers, technical subject matter experts and vendors, to agree, develop and deliver solutions. So what about your Infrastructure skills?We'd be looking for varying levels of experience across a number of the following areas :Collaboration & Unified Comms (Voice, Video, SharePoint, Email)MS365 Product Suite (Previously Office 365 - Including but not limited to MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business)Device, Application & Data Management (Intune, Windows 10 Management)Office Engineering (Telemetry, Add On management & governance)MS365 Security ToolingAzure Active DirectoryExperience with Networking technologies including WAN, LAN and WiFiProcess Automation, scripting / coding (Including but not limited to PowerShell, Power Platform, GraphAPI, JSON)Experience with the Jira and Confluence toolsets Beyond the technical elementsExperience of participating in cross disciplined technical teamsStrong experience of working with 3rd party technical suppliers and co-ordinating development and support activities with their technical teamsStrong stakeholder management with the ability to advocate change and influence technical directionThe ability to self-start and organise personal workload About you:Whilst skills, knowledge and prior experience are meaningful to us we want people who are highly motivated with an inquisitive approach to work and a willingness to challenge the status quo.We're also a people business and to support these huge technical endeavours you'll need a range of interpersonal skills and take a collaborative approach.
