Cyber Security Engineer / SecOps London to £75k

Cyber Security Engineer / SecOps (Windows PowerShell Splunk). Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges whilst continually learning and progressing your career?

You could be joining a global FinTech with in excess of 2,500 institutional clients operating in over 60 global markets.

As a Cyber Security Engineer / SecOps you will join a small team responsible for optimising Security Operations and leading detection and response capabilities with a focus on automation. You'll develop and customise security tools, conduct forensic root cause analysis on escalated or repeated work, collect and present key Information Security metrics and serve as an SME to software development teams.

You'll pro-actively help to find gaps and make recommendations for improvements, drive security best practice and collaborate to learn and share knowledge, keeping up to date with industry trends and the vulnerability landscape.

Driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home (within the UK) until around July 2021 when a gradual return to the City office is expected (with some continued flexibility).

Requirements:

You are degree educated in Computer Science, Information Security or closely related field

You have experience in a similar Security Engineer / SecOps role

You have a strong knowledge of security engineering best practice (NIST, CSA, CIS), systems and network security (e.g. PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Fortinet)

You have experience with Security Information, Event Management (SIEM) platforms (Splunk, QRadar), Privileged Access Management platforms

You have automation experience e.g. Python, PowerShell, Ruby, Git, Ansible, Salt or other automation tools

You're collaborative and pragmatic with good communication skills
