Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer London / WfH to £60k

Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer (AWS REST API) *Remote / WfH*. Would you like to be an instrumental part of a small technology team at an early stage start-up?

You could be joining a FinTech with a mission of revolutionising payments via their advanced technology platform (currently in stealth).

As a Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer you will build, maintain and deliver the tech roadmap and be instrumental in the key decisions across the software stack, toolset and architecture, designing and developing systems Greenfield systems from the ground up and integrating partner APIs on the core platform.

You'll be joining a small team of technologists and entrepreneurs working on a well backed product that is set to be highly successful.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home on a full-time basis; ideally once social distancing measures are over you'll join the team in London once or twice a month but you could remain fully remote.

Requirements:

You have a strong software engineering background with a good knowledge of modern microservices architectures and software development best practice

You have strong Java coding skills (Golang and Python also nice to have)

You have experience with AWS

You have a good knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases

You're familiar with CI/CD and Docker

You're collaborative, have commercial acumen and are keen to progress your career at a start-up

As a Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer you will earn a competitive salary (to £60k) plus shares.
