We have a fantastic new job opportunity to join the company as a Radio Communications Engineer. Previous experience working as a Radio Communications Engineer preferred. However, the company will train you without radio communications experience, provided you have a passion for making electronic products work, IT systems perform or networks connect and want to train as a Radio Communications Engineer.

The company has had success in the past from hiring applicants from an IT background, who have gone on to excel within the company. If you've previously worked as an IT Technical Support Engineer, Network Engineer, Field Service Technical Engineer or similar IT based role then we would like to hear from you.

If you're currently working as a Radio Communications Engineer, you will ideally have radio optimisation experience in GSM / UMTS / LTE technologies with a good understanding of IP Protocols and familiarity of general IT / networks and DMR tier 2 programming (Motorola / Hytera). However, the company will provide additional training to fill in any gaps.

Working as a trainee or experienced Radio Communications Engineer you will have a great opportunity to join an expanding international company who are looking for a tech superstar to join an existing team and cover the South East of England.

As the Radio Communications Engineer, you will report to the Head of Engineering and will be tasked with:

Installing, maintaining and repairing radio communications systems

Integrating radio communications into alarm systems, CCTV, and other networked devices (this will require you to understand IP protocols)

Ensuring that the client's expectations are met on time and to plan

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified IT or radio communications engineer to join a company that is planning to grow substantially over the next few years.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Understanding of IP protocols

Familiarity with general IT

An ability to communicate well with clients

Passion with a "can-do" approach for the role

Full Drivers licence

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

Networking

Experience of professional radio programming and testing

DMR tier 2 programming (Motorola / Hytera)

Previous experience of radio network optimisation experience in GSM / UMTS / LTE technologies

Experience of project management
