Python Developer London to £90k

Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer (Data ETL SQL) *Remote Interview / WfH*. Are you a data savvy Python Developer? You could be joining a newly formed Data Science / Quantitative development team at a global sports betting company.

As a Python Developer you will create exceptional quality data products, primarily based on sports events and market odds data, for use within the Quantitative Team and the wider business. You'll develop software services to perform important data processing functions such as ETL pipelines, data access software layers to allow controlled access the Quantitative Team data products, contribute to the development of the data abstraction framework for Data Scientists and the data modelling of sporting events, sports betting markets and customer transaction data. 

You'll also contribute to the deployment of software applications using containerisation and DevOps approaches and best practice and help optimise Machine Learning and probability predictive models. As a senior member of the team you'll take project ownership and help to mentor others.

There's a collaborative, diverse team environment with a range of perks; there's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleague sin the London office for 2-3 days a week.

Requirements:

You have strong Python software application development experience (Java also considered but you will be using Python going forward)

You have a genuine enthusiasm for sports and a strong interest in working with sports data

You have strong SQL skills, they're using PostgreSQL

You have experience with data modelling and interacting with varied data sets and data pipelines

You're collaborative; keen to learn and share knowledge
