Ruby on Rails Senior Back End Engineer

up to £65,000 + bonus + benefits

Our international client is a dynamic and fun organisation that provides high end sports equipment is now looking to recruit a Ruby on Rails Senior Back End Engineer who maybe also has an interest or previous experience in design and UX as this would also be a bonus, as would experience or an interest in working with Ruby, Rails and Elixir.

The Ruby on Rails Senior Back End Engineer would work as part of an agile cross-functional team providing the Ruby-based back-end capabilities required to power the NextJS front ends and other integration's.

Your immediate focus will be on delivering new tooling to support the in-house production team. The company long term roadmap is firmly under wraps but there's no shortage of interesting and exciting work landing over the coming months.

As a Ruby on Rails Senior Back End Engineer you'll know your way around Ruby and Rails (and the associated ecosystem) like the back of your hand. You'll also be familiar with a variety of supporting technologies including Postgres, Mongo and Redis. Whilst working on the front end won't be your main focus, you'll be comfortable going where the need takes you anywhere in the stack - from CI/CD pipelines and stylesheets to databases and job queues. An interest in (or even better, real world experience of) working with Elixir would be a bonus.

This role is fully remote although maybe ever 4 to 6 weeks you'll be invited to the London office (travel paid of course) to meet with all the team.

This role pays a salary of up to £65,000 plus great benefits including a bonus scheme, private healthcare and pension.
