infrastructure architect

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we're blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We're proud to call ourselves Europe's favourite little healthy drinks company, but we're still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

what you'll be doing

Here at innocent, we're busy working on implementing cloud services to transform the way our business works and support the running of our brand-new factory. This work stream also includes Microsoft Dynamics 365, cloud migrations, SaaS and on-premises infrastructure. We are looking for a capable Infrastructure Architect to help design and document our existing and future architecture.
As an infrastructure Architect, you'll join a team responsible for evaluation, recommendation, design, implementation, and ongoing support of all systems needed to support operations of the business.  You'll be able to work independently, proactively anticipating and resolving problems.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • using your technical knowledge to work with business stakeholders, infrastructure engineers and the compliance team to ensure our architecture is secure and meets innocent's standards
  • collaborating with other Architects to design solutions and provide architecture level documentation.
  • putting processes in place for management of infrastructure resources including but not limited to Infrastructure as code, version control, automation, scripting, maintenance, backups, and patching
  • attending change management meetings to present proposed changes to production.
  • This role will be suited to someone who is a competent infrastructure engineer and on a journey into infrastructure architecture.

you'll have

  • you will be an all-rounder with exposure to compute and storage in local and cloud settings
  • a keen eye for documentation, able to convey complex ideas concisely
  • experience implementing compute and storage in local and cloud settings
  • demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult issues, and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and/or automation
  • experience with cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • a strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and a "do what it takes to get the job done" attitude.

It would really tip the scales in your favour if you also have experience with;

  • producing architecture diagrams for the board of directors, business stakeholders and or technical teams
  • remediating warnings from various sources such as SIEM
  • VMware and on-prem to cloud migrations to Azure
  • experience working with change management processes.
  • comprehensive knowledge of the Azure data services stack, including security, data privacy, and identity management aspects (e.g., Azure AD, Tenant, Subscriptions, KeyVault, Resource Groups, etc)
  • proficient in one or more scripting languages or automation platforms including but not limited to: Python, PowerShell, Bash etc

you'll get

This is a great opportunity to make an impact in our IT infrastructure and an exciting time to join the team.
As well as the standard stuff you get for turning up for work, we have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at.
If you think you have everything we're looking for and more, then we'd love to hear from you. You'll need to get your skates on though, as applications close on May 10.

Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don't have to. We're open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.

We're all about building a workplace for the future here at innocent, we believe in equal opportunities and we celebrate diversity. We're an inclusive workplace, where everyone is welcome, everyone can be natural, and be the best versions of themselves.

You'll help us to keep doing business the right way - keeping innocent an inclusive and inspiring place to work, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change, and reinforcing our culture of staying little as we grow big.

No agencies please.
