We are looking for a diligent, focused CAD Design Technician to join our busy Design Team to provides fast and accurate solutions to support our customers achieve the necessary energy targets from the proposed PV solar systems. + We give our people personal development plans and a road map that shows them what they need to do in order to get where they want to go. The main duties include: + Design and calculate new build developments to provide a solution for our PV systems to hit their energy targets
+ Provide Value Engineering from CAD/DWG files
+ Supply quotes from the Value Engineering documentation to clients
+ Creating and Issuing CAD/DWG drawings, site plans, and technical drawings for PV installations
+ Discuss and confirm design scope with client Technical Departments (Architects, Managers and Directors)
+ Work with Project and Operations to prepare and update drawings for projects in time for installation
+ Seek approval from Client on drawings and document on Pipedrive
+ Manage version control on drawings
+ Audit installations based on the supplied drawings
+ Carry out the internal quality checks on drawings from the CAD Team
+ Ensure the upkeep of the design library
+ Support the company with all department audit documentation
+ Support the Concept Design Specialist during high volumes
+ Liaise with Clients on Design related issues
+ Co-ordinate with specialists' suppliers to meet client expectations
+ Prepare and attend any team meetings
+ Attend technical training sessions
+ Work with the team to drive the department KPIs Our ideal candidate will truly share and promote the businesses values. They will have excellent AutoCAD skills, with ideally an engineering background or experience working within the construction industry. They will be organised, have excellent attention to detail, with a fast paced work ethic and an aptitude for problem solving. They must have good maths skills, and high attention to detail.
