Job DescriptionA UK-Wide Insurance Group is looking to hire a Cloud Engineer to join it's growing Technology team in Surrey. The group are very much technology focused, are looking to expand through acquisition and currently undergoing a period of digital transformation that is being led by IT, so this is a very exciting time to join.

Role & ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the support and development of hybrid cloud infrastructureAccountable for the support of the infrastructure across the groupWork with the Architecture team to deliver strategic roadmapsEnsure that Security considerations are embedded in all work undertakenTo work with 3rd party support services as requiredTo deliver technical designs to remediate against identified problemsProvide design authority expertise to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and delivered to an agreed standard.To work with NOC to ensure all aspects of the infrastructure and are actively monitoredTo ensure regular health checks and appropriate patching is carried outTo ensure right level of documentation is created, available and maintained for the environmentTo ensure that that all backup services for the group are appropriate and maintained accordinglyTo continue to develop the groups technical capabilities through the use of existing and emerging technologiesThe ability to learn new technology and to also share that knowledge with othersExcellent understanding of the commercial and business impact of IT outages with the businessCarry out performance/capacity planning for the IT Infrastructure

Skills & QualificationsCloud Engineering experience inc AzureUse of Azure services including ARM templates, JSON and Powershell DSCExposure to and use of containerisation technologyUse of Dev Ops tools including team City, Octopus deploy, GIT, Azure Dev ops (VSTS)Windows AD inc PowershellOffice 365 and Azure ADMS Windows Server 2012-2019 Benefits Salary up to £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits 80/20 Remote Working Excellent Internal Progression
