Senior Java Developer / Software Engineer (SpringBoot Kubernetes) Exceptional opportunity has opened at one of the biggest digital property websites in the UK, for an accomplished Senior Java Developer to join them in an impactful role.

Not only does this Senior Java Developer role offer autonomy, ownership, cutting-edge technology and a healthy pipeline of Greenfield development, you'll join a cross-functional Agile team, where collaboration and knowledge sharing is the norm, in an environment where you'll be supported to progress your career.

As a Senior Java Developer you'll define solutions of business and technical problems with a focus on maintainability, scalability and performance standards.

You'll work with modern tools and technologies including Java (legacy is in Java 8, moving to Java 11 and 15), SpringBoot, microservices, Kafka, Gradle and more. They are currently transitioning from Docker to Kubernetes, and are always looking for new ways to optimise, advance and improve their technology and processes.

 The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter who excels when working collaboratively, committed to writing high-quality code and passionate about improving and optimising technical processes.

*Please note: this company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures. You'll join colleagues in London offices in due course, with continued flexible work opportunities including 1-2 days a week working from home*

Requirements:

You have strong commercial experience of writing applications in Java (Java 8, 11, 15) plus SpringBoot

You have commercial experience of working on large scale live applications/ websites

You have microservices experience

You're familiar with Docker and Kubernetes

You're an advocate of Agile methodologies including SCRUM and TDD

You're a proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
