My telecomms client is looking for a PMO Lead for an initial 6 months contract based in Bristol but with remote working flexibility.
The PMO will lead a project team of up 30 people, as well as multiple 3rd party suppliers.
They will be responsible for the definition and delivery of time-critical outcomes, working with third party suppliers organisations who are delivering key components of the overall solution. This Programme is delivering the migration strategy foundation for a number of Mobile Network Services.
Skills Required for the job:
*Broad knowledge of and significant experience in setting up and working within a PMO in a large organisation.
*Industry recognised Project Management Qualification.
*Proven stakeholder management skills.
*Excellent communication skills, comfortable with presenting at Director level.
*Ability to think beyond existing solutions, to challenge assumptions and existing beliefs and drive forward new ways of working.
*Extensive PMO experience in large, complex organisations
*Extensive experience of reporting, specifically risk, dependency, financial reporting
*Extensive stakeholder experience across and with the business, with regular engagement up to and including Director-level.
- Previously worked in telecomms sector
What you'll be doing:
*Leading - Mobilising and coordinating a quality assurance framework for the Programme and Project managers
*Influencing - Using domain and industry experience as well to introduce project delivery tools and processes as well as working alongside the company PMO to ensure a set of standards is established and managed
*Planning - Ensuring that the programme follows a standard approach to managing plans and dependencies
*Reporting - Providing daily and weekly reports and templates to help the Programme Director track status and risks. Measured on successful delivery against project outcomes, primarily anchored around time, cost and quality.
*Negotiating - defining and gaining commitment from the project teams to deliver against a schedule of routines to support the Programme governance.
*Communications - responsible for supporting the Programme Director with programme-wide communications and events.
*Reporting - responsible for managing delivery risk across the project of work, providing valuable management reporting across the entire stakeholder base.
*Collaborating - working across multiple teams and functions within and outwith the company,
